Terms of Use
End User License Agreement (EULA) for the Rento iOS app, website, and auto-renewable subscriptions.
Last updated: May 22, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Rentomobile application (the “Licensed Application” when distributed via the Apple App Store), our website, and related services (together, the “Services”). The Services are licensed by Rento (developer: Chirag Kumar). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of your relationship with us.
The Licensed Application is licensed to you, not sold. Section 10 below contains additional terms required for Apple App Store distribution.
1) The service
Rento is a business software platform for vehicle rental operators. The Services help you manage vehicles, renters, bookings, payments, reminders, contracts, and related operational records.
Features and usage limits depend on your subscription tier (Free, Starter, Growth, Pro, or Enterprise). We may update features from time to time as we improve the product.
2) Accounts
Registration
- Required at sign-up: name and email address only. We do not collect your phone number for your account profile.
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You may delete your account in the app at Profile → Account → Delete account. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data after deletion.
3) Auto-renewable subscriptions (Apple In-App Purchase)
Optional paid plans are available through Apple In-App Purchase on the iOS app. Each plan is a monthly auto-renewing subscription unless cancelled.
Available plans
- Starter — monthly subscription (vehicle limit applies)
- Growth — monthly subscription
- Pro — monthly subscription
- Enterprise — monthly subscription (unlimited vehicles)
Billing and renewal
- Length: one month per billing period; renews automatically each month until cancelled.
- Price: the price shown in the app at the time of purchase applies. Apple may display prices in your local currency; taxes may apply as determined by Apple.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal: renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage, cancel, or restore
- Manage or cancel: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, then select Rento.
- Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- After reinstalling or switching devices, use Restore Purchases on the Premium / subscription screen in the app.
A Free tier with limited features is available without a paid subscription.
4) Refunds
Payments for Apple In-App Purchase subscriptions are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple under Apple's policies. We do not control Apple's refund decisions.
If you also subscribe through our website (where offered), billing and refunds for that channel are governed by the payment provider's terms shown at checkout.
5) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
- Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services.
- Use the Services to store or process information you are not entitled to collect.
You are responsible for renter and operational data you enter, including obtaining any consent or legal basis required under privacy laws that apply to your business.
You must not upload driver's licence images or other identification documents unless you have a lawful basis to do so (for example, the renter's consent or another legal ground that applies to your business).
6) Intellectual property
The Services, including software, branding, and content we provide, are owned by Rento or our licensors.
For the website and non–App Store use, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Services for your internal business operations while your account is active and in good standing.
For the Licensed Application obtained through the App Store, the scope of your licence is described in Section 10 below.
You retain ownership of data you submit. You grant us the rights needed to host and process that data to provide the Services.
7) Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights. By using the Services you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
8) Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rento and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Services, except as stated in Section 10 for the Licensed Application where Apple is involved.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you cannot waive under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory consumer protections. Section 10 does not limit liability beyond what applicable law permits.
9) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
- Provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate (e.g. in-app or by email).
Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10) Apple App Store — Licensed Application (EULA)
The following terms apply to the RentoiOS app distributed through the Apple App Store (the “Licensed Application”). They supplement the rest of these Terms and meet Apple's minimum EULA requirements for custom license agreements.
1. Acknowledgement
You and Rento acknowledge that this EULA is concluded between you and Rento only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Rento, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content. This EULA does not conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (see Apple Media Services Terms).
2. Scope of licence
Subject to your compliance with this EULA, Rento grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the Licensed Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The Licensed Application may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with the purchaser through Apple Family Sharing or volume purchasing, where applicable.
3. Maintenance and support
Rento is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the Licensed Application, as described in these Terms, on our Support page, or as required by applicable law. You and Rento acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the Licensed Application.
4. Warranty
Rento is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed in Section 8 above. In the event of any failure of the Licensed Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Licensed Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the Licensed Application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are Rento's sole responsibility.
5. Product claims
You and Rento acknowledge that Rento, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party have relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and/or use of the Licensed Application, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation. The Licensed Application does not use Apple HealthKit or HomeKit. Nothing in this EULA limits Rento's liability to you beyond what applicable law permits.
6. Intellectual property rights
You and Rentoacknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the Licensed Application or your possession and use of the Licensed Application infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Rento, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
7. Legal compliance
You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
8. Developer name and contact
Questions, complaints, or claims regarding the Licensed Application should be directed to:
- Developer / licensor: Rento
- Developer: Chirag Kumar
- Email: rento.support@gmail.com
9. Third-party terms of agreement
You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the Licensed Application. For example, you must not use the Licensed Application in violation of your wireless data service agreement or other carrier terms. The Licensed Application uses internet connectivity and may rely on third-party services (such as cloud hosting and payment platforms) subject to their own terms.
10. Third-party beneficiary
You and Rentoacknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA, and that upon your acceptance of this EULA, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary.
